Flair is a brand new retail Christmas show at the Kings Hall Complex, Belfast running from 24 to 26 November 2006.  

There has been a great response to the show so far with applications coming in from all over the UK and Ireland. With the core exhibitors having now been selected for the show, there is a limited amount of availability left for quality work within specific disciplines.  The selection panel is scheduled to sit again at the end of August. Seasoned organizer, Nicky McGarry (known for The Craft Village at St George's Market, Belfast), and Orla Havlin (of OH! contemporary jewellery design) are working together to create an original and inspiring event to promote the very best in design-led craft and applied arts in Ireland. This show is designed with quality in mind: quality exhibitors showing quality products. In turn there is an innovative and comprehensive marketing plan to attract the right type of visitor to attend the show. The organisers want to bring new, fresh designers/makers to Belfast. There is a constantly growing appetite for craft, always looking for fresh, new work. Flair offers so much more than normal craft 'fairs'.

Flair also has a website that will run in-conjunction with the show, promoting the exhibitors before the show; this will give a 100 word description of the product and an image of the work of each exhibitor.

The show has an intimate gallery area that is targeted for the designers who make one off works and prefer commission based work, together with a new faces aisle that promotes 15 new graduates each year to launch their new companies. There are so many opportunities out there and so much talent - it's about time the public knew about it!

Flair will be running the 'Young Craft Person with Flair 06' competition sponsored by Bradbury Graphics. This competition will run with the South Belfast schools (this is the catchment area of the show) inviting the 60 finalists and parents to the show.  There will be a celebrity to judge the winners; this will help with the promotion of the preview evening.
