All exhibitors for Flair will be selected. The selection panel will change each year, encouraging the show to stay fresh and dynamic.

Who?

Seasoned organiser, Nicky McGarry (known for The Craft Village at St George’s Market, Belfast), brings years of experience and a proven track record for running shows. Combine this with the sales and marketing experience that Orla Havlin (of OH! contemporary jewellery design www.orlahavlindesigns.com) brings, together they make a formidable combination of ability and vision.

What?

Flair is the new retail Christmas show at the Kings Hall Complex, Belfast running from 24 to 26 November 2006. It is a craft show dedicated to quality and excellence in contemporary, handmade crafts and applied arts. The vision for the show is to bring together the top craft makers and designers from across the UK and Ireland, enabling the public to peruse and purchase original and beautiful gifts for their loved ones or indeed indulge in some bespoke treats for themselves.

The show has been carefully developed with the discerning customer in mind, and the result is an inspiring, high quality show that will draw the most stylish people of N.Ireland in their thousands. Building on a winning formula based on nine year’s experience of delivering The Craft Village at St George’s market, Flair is a ‘must see’ show with a proven reputation among an established client base that already exceeds 12,000 customers.

When?   With the core exhibitors having now been selected for the show, there is a limited amount of availability left for quality work within specific disciplines.  The selection panel is scheduled to sit again at the end of September and October.  If you produce high quality work and are interested in taking part in Flair, please contact Nicky or Orla on 028 9042 2274 or nicky@showingflair.com immediately.

Where?

Flair will be held in The Nugent Hall at The King’s Hall Complex, Belfast. The hall will be dressed to complement the high standard of exhibitors, ie carpet and (tasteful) seasonal theming. Good access and on-site parking make set up easier for exhibitors, as well as being good for visitors. Free parking for exhibitors too! BT9 boasts a great catchment area, echoing the tone of the show.

Why?

Research confirms that makers and buyers want a retail event to showcase and sell the leading work in applied arts and design-led craft. They want it to capitalize on Christmas spending patterns, but to fit in round other shows and events. Above all, it needs to be a selected show to ensure quality in design and craftsmanship.

How?

Application forms can be downloaded from www.showingflair.com. Your application form, 5 jpeg images and samples of your marketing material must be posted to us. After selection, successful applicants will be able to choose the location of their stand within the show. This will be based on the order that applications are initially received by us, so early application is advised to maximise your choice of stands. Your application will be judged on what you submit, not your reputation. Please assume the selection panel do not know you, make sure your application does you justice!
